The “30-Day” Rules

Effective January 23, 2023, the following mandatory 30-day protocols will take effect:

Rule #1 - Mandatory Deposit Invoicing:

Beginning on January 23, 2023, contractors will be required to prepare and provide a deposit invoice to ESIS ProClaim within 30 days of receiving notification from ESIS that they should be invoicing CFSIC for the deposit, through ESIS. Failure to comply with this requirement will result in our notification to the homeowner that we will not be funding that contractor’s remediation.

Rule #2 - Contractor Compliance with Proposal Changes:

Beginning January 23, 2023, contractors will have 30 days to comply with written requests to modify their proposals when those modifications are required by the ESIS ProClaim staff. After 30 days of non-compliance, the Superintendent will personally contact the claimant in question and request that they seek proposals elsewhere, as it will not be the intention of CFSIC to pay for the work of that remediation under an unmodified proposal.
