As of today, October 12, condominium associations comprising 91 units with severity class coded 3 foundations have Participation Agreements from the Superintendent’s office. Read more
During this past week, more good news for condos emerged. First, the CHFA loan program has been statutorily augmented to expand low-interest loan availability to condominium associations. We thank Governor Lamont for signing this legislation.Read more
On June 30, 2020 CFSIC disabled the application process. It’s important to remember that on that date the only type of claimant CFSIC was accepting were claimants in the Pending status. Read more
On Friday, September 18, CFSIC reached a major milestone…more than 200 foundations replaced in 20 months…203 to be exact. That’s 203 families back in a home with a new and stable foundation. 203 homes where the equity has been restored and where the tax base in the towns in question have been improved. Read more
CFSIC’s 2019-2020 audited financial will shortly be approved by CFSIC’s Board of Directors and by the Trustee of the Crumbling Foundations Assistance Trust. When it is, it will be posted up on this site. Read more
CFSIC is entering into Participation Agreements and will be doing so for claimants in the Participation Agreement line up to and including February 26, 2020. Once we reach that date, we will stop, and we will shut down the PA process until the receipt of more funds, which we expect to happen in late June of 2021 with the receipt of the next tranche of Healthy Homes funds, followed by the last $20M installment from the CT Bond Commission.
