We want to draw a distinction between talk about the extension of our sunset date…and what is actually going to start happening if CFSIC’s current sunset date of June 30, 2022 is not extended legislatively. Read more
As of the close of business on Friday, CFSIC had paid to date $57,413,367 in Type 1 and Type 2 claims. We currently carry $74,654,749 in outstanding reserves for claims in the process of payment and claims with verified severity class codings that we can’t get to yet. Read more
The Superintendent has been contacted concerning what appears to be an active bipartisan effort to extend CFSIC’s statutory sunset date beyond June 30, 2022. Read more
CFSIC has begun the process of alerting Active Severity Class 3 claimants, some of whom have been Active claimants since January 2019, that they will be removed from eligibility over the next few months if they do not take the steps necessary to secure a minimum of two construction proposals as requested by CFSIC, have those bids approved by CFSIC’s claims adjustment staff, and otherwise demonstrate that they are still interested in pursuing a claim for foundation remediation by placing themselves in line for a Participation Agreement.
