We are awaiting our next tranche of $20 million from the CT Bond Commission, which will enable us to enter into 98 Participation Agreements for claimants currently in line from November 26, 2019 through February 19, 2020. Among these PAs will be a number of condo association buildings that have been in line since December 18, 2019. Read more
We are pleased to announce that on Tuesday, July 21, the CT Bond Commission authorized the next $20M in bond funding for CFSIC. Read more
Staff worked throughout the weekend to finish the providing of Participation Agreements to 68 claimants waiting in the Participation Agreement line since September 11, 2019. We’re pleased to report that all 68 of those families know that their next step is to schedule construction. Read more
CFSIC has recorded 1,640 active, inactive, and Pending claimants, including 432 Pending Type 1 and Type 2 claimants. Read more
All CFSIC claimants (not just active claimants) will be able to transfer their existing inactive or Pending claims to a buyer of their home effective July 13, 2020, retroactive to June 1, 2020. Read more
CFSIC will temporarily stop accepting applications on Tuesday, June 30 at 5:00 PM. Since CFSIC has currently only been accepting applications for the Pending status category since January 13, 2020, this means that the entire application process will cease for an indeterminate period on June 30. We’re confident that it will start up again. We just don’t know when. Read more

Effective July 13, all claimants, whether active, inactive, or Pending, will be able to transfer their claims to a buyer of their home on a one-time basis. Read more
