We’re pleased to report that CFSIC’s current fiscal year bond allotment is expected to be considered and approved at the April 2 CT Bond Commission special hearing. Read more
We were informed last Friday, March 22, that the scheduled March 29 Bond Commission hearing had been cancelled. We understand that the next one is scheduled, at least on paper, for April 26. Read more
A number of claimants have recently inquired about the progress of their claim, even though they were among the first to apply in the days following January 10. I can confirm that ESIS is about ten days away from a complete review of the remaining 83 claimants in the first grouping of claims that came in within three weeks of CFSIC’s launch. Read more

CFSIC’s board, at its recent board meeting, agreed that CFSIC’s current cap of $175,000 for eligible concrete work under CFSIC’s guidelines will apply to condominiums and PUDs as well, subject to what follows. Read more
As of February 21, the ESIS claim adjustment team has received 494 applications for assistance from the CFSIC program. Read more
This past week, CFSIC approved its first two Type 1 applications, within 30 days of its launch. What this means is that two affected homeowners will now be able to proceed with the restoration of their foundations. We are still sorting through several hundred Type 1 applications, and within the next three weeks many more Type 1 applications will be approved. Read more
