Suspension Lifted

As of today, CFSIC will be processing new Participation Agreements enabling foundation construction to commence.

We are grateful to Commissioner Mosquera-Bruno and to Governor Lamont’s staff for pitching in quickly to assist us with the process of funding.

Because of the two-week suspension, we will be working through a backlog. If you are an active claimant and have been informed by ESIS that your claim is ready for a Participation Agreement, we’re advising everyone that you should expect a minimum of two weeks before you will be contacted by the Superintendent’s office concerning your Participation Agreement.

The Progress Continues

All over the northeast corner of Connecticut construction is underway. We have authorized $3 million of construction deposits, and in some cases first and second construction progress payments, in the last eight weeks.

“Homeowner #1”…a Tolland family whose house was the first to have its foundation replaced by CFSIC…will be back in their home today.

Home Inspector/Engineer Training Courses

The June 11 and June 25 seminars, designed to enable home inspectors to pass a prescribed course curriculum to assist homeowners with the evaluation of their foundations, are now full.

Class size has been limited to 27 per session. We will announce any further course available in 2019 if there is time to add an extra one…otherwise, these will next be conducted in 2020.
