We’re pleased to report that CFSIC’s first multi-unit foundation platform is now in line for rapid remediation once we are out of suspension. Read more
Let’s “Coalesce Around the Success”…The Latest News section of this website is intended to present facts to the public about the extent of remediation being done by CFSIC. Our job at CFSIC is to fix foundations, reimburse some who have already done that, and return people to their homes. Read more
22 families have now been returned to their homes with new foundations. It has taken us only four months for this to happen. An estimated 25 more will be back in their homes before the middle of September. Read more
CFSIC is in suspension beginning August 5. What this means is that no further Participation Agreements will be provided to claimants for completion, and no further Participation Agreements will be countersigned…unless you have already been contacted by the Superintendent’s office requesting that you complete and sign a Participation Agreement for countersignature. With Governor Lamont’s signing of the new and revised crumbling foundations legislation, we have made and will continue to make changes to our underwriting and claims management guidelines in conformance with the law. Read more
We have learned that Governor Lamont is expected to sign the new crumbling foundations legislation on July 9. This legislation will make official several needed changes to CFSIC’s enabling legislation, permitting us to serve more affected homeowners, particularly those owning condominiums and PUDs, and in general to better streamline many parts of our process.Read more
With the successful completion of the CFSIC-sponsored home inspector/engineer certification course conducted on June 25, CFSIC now has 47 more sources for foundation evaluation available to homeowners. Read more
